Notes on the Geography of Northern India

This large collection of the Ganges watershed begins, as most visitors do, with Delhi. It moves out to the surrounding countryside and then reaches farther afield, north to Simla and south to Agra. It moves east, too, first to Khajuraho and, from there, to the surrounding countryside, villages, and old forts. It moves east again, to Varanasi (Benares) and, once again and finally, east to Calcutta (Kolkata).
