Notes on the Geography of Oklahoma

Neither East nor West, nor North or South, Oklahoma falls in the cracks of American regionalization.  That's not a nice way to put it--and Oklahomans take criticism badly--but look around and you'll see that the state's had a hard time, which at least partly explains the thin skin.
